Arrive Cochin airport or railway station. You will be met on arrival by Munnar tour packages our representative and will be driven 04 hours to Munnar. One of the most popular hill stations in India, Located at 1600 Mts above sea level. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Munnar is essentially a tea town. The tea plantations have now been taken over by the Tata Tea Company. The visitor is greeted with miles and miles of unending tea plantations on entry into Munnar. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Today morning after breakfast leave for the unguided sight seeing trip of Munnar, visiting the Mattupetty Dam , Echo point, Kundala Dam and Top station. Evening back to Resort. If time permits visit Eravikulam National Park where you may see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Cochin railway station to board train for Calicut. Arrival Wayanad in the evening. Overnight at Wayanad.
After breakfast visit Muthanga wild Life sanctuary. it is a rain forest reserve connected to two other major sanctuaries: Bandipur National Park in Karnataka and Mudumalai Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu. After noon visit kuruva island, The Kuruva Island with 950 acres of evergreen forest lies on one of the tributaries of the Kabini. The island is home to various species of rare birds, orchids and herbs. Proceed back to your hotel for the overnight stay. Overnight at Wayanad.
After breakfast visit Edakkal caves. An interesting trek up the Ambukuthi Hill near Munnar tour packages Ambalavayal town takes you to the fascinating neolithic cave site of Edakkal. Etchings found on the walls of these caves have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. Afternoon visit Soochippara waterfalls. After breakfast visit Banasura Dam.Considered to be the largest earth dam in India. Afternoon Pookoot Lake. Set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by evergreen forests and wooded hills, Pookoot is one of Wayanad’s top visitor draws.This natural lake near Lakkidi is just a short distance off the National Highway 212.
